Overview
An Entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is a 3-year joint program between the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and San Francisco State University (SFSU). The program runs for 36 months continuously starting in June and covers 34 weeks of full-time clinical affiliation. This program is designed to prepare clinical doctors, educators, collaborative clinical researchers, administrative managers and community leaders. This program receives 50 students every year.

The curriculum is built on a strong theoretical foundation in basic, medical and applied sciences. Critical thinking skills and clinical reasoning are developed in integrated programs that prepare students to work collaboratively with lifelong patients to improve health and well-being, overcome disability challenges, and optimize function.
